Here is a Coat/hat/pot rack that I made from RR spikes I found on Pipestone pass outside Butte Montana.
The hooks are made from the RR spikes, they are rivited to a "Hit and Miss" textured piece of 2' inch bar stock, the finished with bees wax.
It measures 30" long/wide X 14" high
