Oak Branch Table Center Piece / Wall Hanging

This Oak Branch was forged by David and his daughter Madelynn

It is a beautiful example of hand forged iron organicly designed by creation. David really loved a Oak leaf door knocker made by Steve his mentor and wanted an entire branch, and here is the result.

It started out as a 20" piece of 1 1/2" round stock the was drawn out to about 32" all the smaller branches came from 1/2" round stock. The oak leaves where cut forged, textured, fullered, and shaped, the acorns are forged from 1" black steel pipe.There is over 20 hrs of work involved in the production of this "Oak Branch" David then assembled the piece giving it a balanced look that draws the human eye and keeps its attention.
